Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of ClipItX — the AI video editing platform at clipitx.ai and app.clipitx.ai. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these Terms.
1. The service
ClipItX turns long-form videos and text prompts into short-form clips: it transcribes and analyses your content, cuts highlight clips, generates AI shorts, adds captions, voiceover and b-roll, and— if you connect your accounts—publishes finished clips to platforms like YouTube. Features may change as we improve the product.
2. Your account
- You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure.
- You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum digital-consent age in your country).
- You are responsible for activity on your account.
3. Your content and rights
- You keep all rights to content you upload and to the clips you create.
- You grant us a limited licence to host and process your content solely to provide the service to you.
- You must own (or have the rights to) the content you upload or link. Do not use ClipItX to infringe copyright, impersonate others, or break platform rules.
- You are responsible for what you publish to connected platforms (e.g. YouTube) and for complying with their terms.
- ClipItX uses YouTube API Services. By connecting a YouTube account and using YouTube features, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
4. Acceptable use
- No illegal, harmful, hateful, or deceptive content.
- No attempts to break, overload, reverse-engineer or abuse the service or other users' data.
- No reselling of the service without our written consent.
5. Plans, tokens and billing
- Paid plans include a monthly token allowance that is consumed by generations, renders and edits as shown in the app.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel any time; access continues to the end of the billing period.
- Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable once tokens have been consumed.
6. Third-party services
ClipItX integrates third-party services (e.g. Google/YouTube, AI processing providers, payment processing). Their terms apply to your use of those services. Our use of Google user data is described in our Privacy Policy.
7. Disclaimers and liability
- The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. AI output may contain errors — review clips before publishing.
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
8. Termination
You may stop using ClipItX and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. On termination your stored content is deleted per our Privacy Policy.
9. Changes
We may update these Terms; material changes will be announced in the app. Continued use after changes means acceptance.
